About the Program:
Appreciative Inquiry (AI) is an OD process or philosophy that engages individuals within an organizational system in its renewal, change and focused performance. In particular, it is a particular way of asking questions and envisioning the future that fosters positive relationships and builds on the basic goodness in a person, a situation, or an organization. In so doing, it enhances a system's capacity for collaboration and change.
Participants will learn in more detail what appreciative inquiry is, hear a presentation about the assumptions underlying A.I. and why these assumptions are so important, and then participate in a brainstorming exercise designed to generate A.I. questions applied to a number of different training challenges of their choosing such as team building, customer service, supervision, etc.
